About me

In the mid-seventies, I was working as a presenter on children’s programs in South Australia where I had the opportunity to interview Mr. Bill Hanna of Hanna Barbera fame.

He was kind enough to offer me a job in his Sydney animation studio which launched a career for me working both locally and internationally.

Over the years I’ve worked with and learned from some of the most luminary talent the animation industry has to offer.

There have been many shows I take pride in, as well as many I would best describe as training and experience.

In 1991 I was offered the role of Art Director on Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas. The film was a learning curve of a different kind to me.

THE GALLERY

Thank you for visiting the gallery. Sketches from various times and places throughout my career, scanned, and sometimes digitally enhanced. For some of the sketches, the original still exists. Where this occurs, it will be identified in the product description. The original will be of more value, and priced accordingly. Once sold. it will be identified as such. The print will continue to be available as before. The prices are in AUD$ and shipping originals within Australia is free. I hope you enjoy the sketches as much as I did in creating them.

1.SELECT

Select a sketch of your choice. Note that the artwork on the website is at low res 72DPI. The artwork you purchase will be emailed to you as a PDF file A3 (420X297 mm) at 300 DPI.

2.PRINT

Print your purchase. This is your choice. To ensure a high quality print, it is recommended to visit your local printer and discuss stock options. The choices are many, but I have had good results using heavy stock, matte finish watercolour paper. I have also used a linen finish which has a different appeal again. NOTE: Some printers need to be set for colour printing to copy the subtle grey tones.

3. COPYRIGHT

The artwork you purchase is for your personal use only. The work cannot be reproduced by any means for any other purpose. Your co-operation in maintaining the integrity of the work is appreciated.
